“And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.” – Philippians 1:6 ESV

A new day and a new struggle presents itself. Fifteen minutes in and you’re already upset because of that email, the kids fighting, your sore back, and the dog got into the trash… again! You lose your temper and even though you know it’s wrong you lash out at the kids and your spouse. Stress carries on in the day and you fall into the same pattern of sin you thought you were redeemed from. You put your face into your hands and ask God for forgiveness but doubt and worry overcomes you. Guilt and anxiety overwhelms you with doubt creeping in. Well Philippians 1:6 gives hope to remind you, your not finished yet! You have not been made perfect yet and that is ok! Jesus said, “All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away.” (John 6:37 NIV) And again in Ephesians 2:8, “It is by grace you have been saved… it is the gift of God.” Repeatedly throughout scripture we are comforted by God’s grace and His mercy. Life may give you trials and your weaknesses may come through, but take heart knowing that nothing suprises God. He loves you and is with you in your struggles.

Pray for confidence to face each day, resisting sin and temptation, and to be reminded that God is not finished working within you.
